Anime Souls is great.

The character creator is really fun. It's not as specific as a lot of modern games or MMOs but it has enough that you can get decently specific anime girls (or boys if you're into that).

The gameplay is very similar to other souls games, with a few changes, the biggest (and IMO best) change being the class system. You can find (or be given) new classes by progressing through the game and finding various collectibles. You can spend your exp equivalent on unlocking new abilities in said classes and once you've used them enough, you can use them across any class. The magic system in the game is also something I love as your magic (ichor) gets replenished by just battling, especially if you can get backstabs and parries.

If you like anime and dark souls you'll enjoy this

Fantastic follow up to the first. Love the new mechanics and love how similar it feels to the original. I also love how the story feels like a very seamless continuation of the original's story. Easily one of my favorite games of the year

This game is infuriating. The player base is hit or miss. Each game will leave you frustrated or feeling very accomplished. Half the time I quit playing thinking F*** this game. But as you can see by my hours, I love this game. It's legitimately fantastic and it's held my attention longer than anything else I've ever played. 11/10 would recommend.

The artistic design of this game is absolutely magnificent! I really don't know whether I love the music or the visuals more. A short game but so much passion put in that you can feel every bit of it

One of the first games that I'd played that really made me feel emotions. The game was short but not in a bad way. While I would have loved to play it even more, the story was succinct and made every action feel like it had a lot more weight than in many longer games.

The biggest negative comment that I can make about this game is that it was too short.
I'm a huge fan of rhythm games and the way that Before the Echo combined that with RPG-esque mechanics was wonderful. Having to manage switching between 3 different "tabs" for attacking, defending, and gaining mana was a really cool design choice that helped keep songs and "spells" from getting overly repetitive. Would highly recommend

perfectly mediocre. 70% of your game will be spent walking as there's no fast travel and massive maps. cool magic system but the combat system otherwise is a little lackluster

that being said, it's pretty fun if you play with friends

I really really loved the first game. It was great. From what I remember, the original release of darksiders 2 was also pretty great. I hadn't ever finished it though and was feeling like playing a hack'n'slash again. I couldn't play for even an hour because every time I would look at my inventory or the settings, the game would crash...downloading the original now to see if I can play that one without constant glitches...

I really have enjoyed this game. I'm currently halfway through the 2B play through.

The transitions between different styles of gameplay is done really well 99% of the time, though occasionally if you're in the middle of a conversation when you enter hacking mode, it will be cut off and never continued.

I love the normal combat a lot more than hacking though to be honest as the small hacking mini game gets pretty boring after the 20th time completing an identical "level." When I first played the game I was worried the fighting was a little more hack&slash than timing and skill based but as you progress further into the game, timing really does become more relevant.

My biggest complaint is about the story honestly. *spoilers ahead* the whole idea that the main characters are androids with their own personalities and thoughts, but are convinced that the robots they're fighting can't possibly have their own is a little hard to process. I would find it perfectly acceptable if it weren't for the fact that after every significant point of realization that they might be more than what they seem, 9S will say something negating the information they just learned. This is especially evident in side quests. From the main story line, 9S seems to be quite sympathetic and curious as to the plight of the robots but in all the side quests he seems adamant that they can't possibly be anything but unthinking death machines.
It creates a strange sense of disparity that just makes the entire story a little less believable

The music is fantastic and fits the feel of the game perfectly. The only critique I can have related to it is the transition to the hacking mini game. It would be nice if there were different themes within it so that there wouldn't be quite a sudden change in style in certain parts of the map.

Overall though, I think his is a fantastic game that I would definitely recommend. Oh and take drugs, their effects make the game hilarious a lot of the time. I just wish they would last longer :D

I play with a small group of friends on a server one of us runs. My review will not mention "true online" play since I haven't touched it since I haven't heard anything great about a lot of the servers (and I don't really care about playing with random people). All that being said, this game is highly entertaining.

It starts out very very slowly, do not expect to have anything close to what most of the trailers show for your first 50+ hours if you are playing solo or with other people just starting. My group has been playing for a couple weeks and we have stone buildings and a decent number of dinos for our tribe but are just starting to be able to use guns without having to be worried about the metal and other materials required. And even with that, it's mostly the 2 players that have been playing for a couple years that are messing with that.

If you hate minecraft, maybe stay away from this game. You spend a lot of time hitting trees and rocks with tools until you get some dinos to do it for you and even then, most of them require your control to do anything efficiently. The biggest differences in my mind between this game and minecraft are the graphics (they are gorgeous) and the dinos. you could compare the dinos to mobs in some ways, but there are so many more of them and one could argue that they are a lot more useful in every way. You can even build houses on some of the larrger ones.

9/10 would be Rex meat again
