This gaming is amazing!

Its classic alone in the dark with niceish graphics, good story and ok combat. I'd say this game is a 8 because of the stuttering and somewhat clunky combat but I really liked it so you might as well.

It starts slow but it grows to be an awesome survival/terror smart fps. You can play this game just like an rpg and have different builds, really cool.

Classic FPS with a nice difficulty, awesome story telling / environment and a very solid remake. I have minor bugs but that don't take away from the experience to be honest. A classic which still works very well nowadays with nice backtracking and non linear story. Definitely recommend this!

Look, this is a Roguelike FPS game, nothing more. I think that saying it's a 1996 game is a bit too much, since it features reloading on weapons, only one AI (the enemy always run towards you) and the 3 weapon selection.

With that said, let me get to the gameplay. First, if you like FPS games for what they are (jumping, shooting and killing things) this game is really nice. You start picking one in 3 available weapons (Railgun, Machinegun and Shotgun) and you keep that weapon until the end of your run. You can buy powerups, armor and ammunition, but you can't buy health (so keep an eye on yours). Also, you will find weapon drops but they only have one magazine (after that they are done), you may find the same weapon more than once though. Sometimes you just run straight to a group enemies and shoot they face like hell, other times you will be overloaded with creatures chasing you and will need to slow the pace down. After each level the game gets harder and harder. There is some 90's logics here and there, when you find keycards to open doors or explode barrels to kill group of enemies (or shoot treasure chests multiple times to get more treasure - a la mario hitting the coin box).

The levels are random generated and I got suprised lots of time, not only with the resulting map (I really like them most of the time), but how I could navigate the level back and forth without a map (there IS a map though). The random algorithm tries to make some places memorables (thats my impression of it).

The creature design is not a big deal, but it works. Aside from the stupid AI (they just run towards you), I got a few scare jumps with that thing (spider?) that falls from the ceiling, coming behind me.

The developers are super nice and are supporting this game like there is no tomorrow. We got 3 patches in the first week of release and they fixed most of the stuff people are complaining about.

PROS:
- Random generated levels with dynamic gameplay.
- Increasing difficulty and different types of games.
- Secrets and lots of gore (corpses stay after death, blood spills and stay on the walls)
- Homage to other games.

CONS:
- This is not Quake.
- Enemy AI is DUMB (but still works).
- Sound design is not the best (It could improve).

Would I recommend it? Yes.

Fast, bloody, awesome! This is a modern DOOM with an old school feeling :D
