At the current stage, do not buy it.

The art is great, but the rest of the game is horribly unfinished. The gameplay is very shallow. The enemies are dumb as bricks: They either run in a line towards you as you shoot them, or just stand next to you and shoot at you, making no attempt at hiding or doing anything else. Guns feel completely identical, only varying slightly in damage numbers (except the stun gun and the rocket launcher). Every story is the same: Go to a place, kill everyone, interact with the boss and kill them. There is stealth mechanic in the game, but it's too difficult on hard, and too easy on medium. The only difference is how fast the enemies spot you. The story is so basic it might as well not have been there at all.

If the devs plan to update this, I might give it a second chance, but as it is, there are better co-op games in the same price range.

I have played through the game with a few friends in about 10 hours.

I got the game on 30% discount, and all things considered, I would say it's a fair price for what it is.

If you are buying this on full price, though, you should keep in mind that the game does feel unfinished.
The graphics, animations and the UI could definitely do with some polish, but that's the least important thing about this game. What is more important is gameplay, progression, and economy issues.

Running the tavern is fun, don't get me wrong. However, there is no real incentive to cook different types of dishes except for ones that have the biggest number of XP or gold received. Which is a shame, because the game has a lot of different ones, but as soon as you level up there is no real gameplay reason not to switch to the newly unlocked ones to level up or earn money faster. This also results in a feedback loop of leveling faster and faster, and earning way too much gold. This is also due to the fact that there is nothing to really spend money on. Yeah, there are about one or two new things every few levels, but you only need to buy them once, and that's it. You progress in the game way too fast.

Combat and exploration are honestly pretty meh. It's very basic and out of place, really. I would love to see this aspect of the game improved upon. Getting a quest that asks you to "Kill 4 zombies" feels like an annoying chore. The spawns of some enemies (and some items like the mushrooms) are more or less random, so you end up having to look for these things everywhere with no reliable way of finding them.

All in all though, it's a charming little game. I would love to see the devs continue working on it.

I think a lot of people were expecting this game to be something else.
It's not a space combat simulator, like Elite: Dangerous, and at least to me personally, it's not a exploration space game, like No Man's Sky. This is a Bethesda RPG, and that's what it should be treated as.

The combat, in my opinion, is fun. At least, ranged combat. I haven't tried playing as a melee character.
The main story is alright, and I liked the main characters. Neither of these things are perfect or super deep, but they serve their purpose as a support for the main character. There are tons of sidequests and faction quests, and they're fun. Most of them, at least.
I don't care about the graphics, so to me, they're are good enough. However, I have a GTX 2070 Super, and the FPS drops in quite a few areas on medium settings.

Look, if you want a Bethesda RPG, it's a good game. So if you get it, expect both the jank and the warm coziness that these games always combine. I was immediately engaged in the world, stories, and mechanics, and spent a few days just playing the game.
Otherwise, you probably won't like it.
