A good tactical hero shooter, the stringify mechanic that turns your character into paper mode is not only funny but also plays a significant tactical use in combat. The skill entry for this game is a bit harder and more demanding, and the game matchmaking is a hit-or-miss sometimes. The character design is pretty solid and so does the voiceovers.

Definitely worth to try, as it has unique mechanic not found in other games. 8/10

Early Access Review
Penerus Craftopia

I was buying it for nostalgia sake, but apparently now fell in love again for the second time.

Pretty neat, it doesn't only offers animated desktop, but also interactive one. My favorite feature is the ability to create a dynamic wallpaper that reactive to sounds. Back in the days I used to keep my PC on just to hear some music and turning on winamp visualization plugins just to watch some pretty synth on screen, now with wallpaper engine multiple tools this kind of feature is enhanced and yet simplified, you can even make one! I think it's a must have feature to personalize your PC.

There's already tons of helpful review out there, I'll just give my two cents of the game

Full DLC but Removed online features
NIS did a poor PR with this release, the information only comes up after the game has been released and people felt being cheated by the label 'complete' in the game store page. That being said the game does comes in full DLC, with affordable price no less. This is how PC port releases should be and I really commend NIS for doing so. As someone who's only playing Disgaea 1&2 (and various in-universe games) on PS2 console this is not really a big deal, if anything I'm glad they decides to port the newer titles instead, allowing PC gamers to pick up the latest iteration of the game.

Good controller support
First thing on my list for a PC port is controller support, having bad experience with a lot of Japanese ports which developers has no real intention to fix just with a simple mapping interface, Disgaea 5 stands out against the rest in this aspect. As soon you started up the game it detect your controller and automatically launched a key-mapping interface, what magic is this !? it correctly detect my non-generic Bluetooth controller keys which many games couldn't even 'see' my Right Stick axis ! This simple life-improving features really impressed me. Wish every jrpg PC port publisher do this.

From co-op mode perspective, not recommended

I played most games for casual fun with friends and almost exclusively played co-op mode in games. I heard Argo is derived from Arma 3 - a franchise acclaimed to be a golden standard for co-op games, so I came with big expectations of it's features. And indeed it has comes with a nice 10p co-op mode, but it was actually just a 'demo' for Arma 3.. (even blatantly advertised on screen when a co-op game is finished)

One major let down for me is, the co-op feature is just a side show of the game. You don't get experience points from it, no in-game credits, no progression, nothing. While everything in this game must be unlocked, armaments, attachments, vests, etc. (as with most free to play title out there). This simple fact either force you to play PvP to gain progression, or just play with the dull presets, and I choose the former. As I poured some hours into the PvP aspect of game and bearing with teamkilling trolls, undergeared, and toxic teammates, I just think it is not worth it. The progression ladder is steep, I'd sink more time in PvP than my intention for playing co-op, it seems like the whole thing defeats the purpose.

I really want to love it, I do. Alas not in this condition, no.

I killed a dragon with dozens of summoned goblin skeletons. 10/10 would do it again.
PS: for Win 7+ users you have to patch it first (please refer to DaniLch guide), and it will work just fine.
