Recently been replaying this after playing the original when it first came out however many years ago.

This game is still /great/, the sort of rare gem that comes out of nowhere and there was nothing quite like it before and nothing quite like it since. It can be hard, can be frustrating. It's also one of those games you can never enjoy as much as the first time through, when you never quite know what to expect.

Sadly that last part is the only real downside; the game is predictable once you've played it enough. There are always the same items available in each stage, the same rooms (even if arranged differently), and the same enemies. What I wouldn't give to be able to completely forget this game- even after almost 10 years I still remember much more than I expected.

But I think that's a pretty strong accolade, no?

Game has serious problems but on the other hand I've made more than 5x what I spent on it back from crates

I don't even care enough to say more than that, if you watch the trailer and think to yourself "man, this looks like something I might like", yes, you will, it's great, that's all
