I really wanted to like this game. It promises to be a hybrid of Elite Frontier and Silent Hunter, both of which are great games from the past which I remember fondly. There is some good gameplay here, at least early in the story mode when you get to fly around completing contracts, trading goods and carrying passengers while exploring a new and unfamiliar universe.
Unfortunately, the game then starts to crash, basically because the developers ran out of time when the game was only about 75% done. Same story if you try to play the scenarios, except they crash much sooner than the story mode does. Such a shame.

At last, a sequel to the Crescent Hawks Inception. And it's not too shabby either 😉

Ignore the arcade like physics, this is high adrenaline cops n robbers fun. 10/10

A well oiled gaming experience

Good game, lets you be the funny shark, haha murder go brrr

I only have a few complaints: *SPOILER ALERT*

-the shark hunters after you have killed the final bounty hunter become ridiculously overpowered and you just cant fight them unless you have the bone set on

-the bone set is too OP compared to the bio electric and shadow sets, it feels like the shadow and bone sets should switch how good they are because the shadow set is much harder to get without looking on youtube than the bone set

-you only have to kill 3 humans to get the shark hunters to start trying to kill you, i mean i get that its realistic and you would only have to kill 1/2 humans in real life for shark hunters to attack you, but this isn't real life, this is a funny shark game where a tiny shark baby can kill a huge, level 15 gator by dodging like sans undertale and there are insane elemental powers that you can put on a shark by turning it into some alien abomination, i mean come on i just want to kill people in my funny shark game!

-probably laggy on bad computers idk

That's about it, the rest of the game is great, 8.5/10, i like how scaly pete's son gets character development and then the shark is just like "haha boom"

I tried this game only after trying the more recent lightspeed edition, so some might say I came at them in the wrong order.

Classic isn't hugely different, and my initial playthrough on cadet difficulty was fun, but the tactical battles became a bit of a yawn because they are far too easy on that difficulty setting. There is a little more micromanagement than I remember from the Lightspeed edition, but I enjoy that and considered it no bad thing. Campaign completion was around 25 hours.
A second playthrough on Grand Admiral difficulty proved much more involving. You really have to plan ahead well, and choose your combat skills carefully in order to avoid succumbing to heavy losses in the late game space battles. Completion time here was around 40 hours.
In summary, a well executed space strategy campaign with a good enough balance of both scripted and random events to warrant some replay value. Thumbs up!

10/10 would fly again.
