Left 4 Dead 2 is a timeless classic which still holds up extremely well with it's newer competitors. Playing through all campaigns from start to finish would only take you a day or two, but it's replayability means that sinking 100 hours or more into the game is almost certain. I have probably played the Dark Carnival campaign 15 times since I brought the game and am yet to grow tired of it.

The graphics and audio are pretty average, nothing to get excited over. However, they don't hinder the game in any way.

This game is beginner friendly, with the bots proving very helpful in the easier levels. Although, if you play on advanced or expert, the bots become a huge disadvantage, you're better off playing online. The community has some toxic people, as do all communities, but in general, is very welcoming and kind.

Aside from the standard campaign mode, there are specifically online modes such as scavenge and versus. Although I enjoy the concept of versus, the infected are quite difficult to control in comparison to the survivors which can be pretty frustrating.

The one BIG drawback I would say about this game is it can be pretty buggy at times. Especially if you're an achievement hunter. Multiple times I've been playing with friends where they've got an achievement and I haven't for seemingly no reason. It can be pretty frustrating especially if it's a long winded achievement.

Overall, this is one of my favourite games. Whether you're in the mood to grind for achievements or just play casually, this game will appeal to you. At the time of writing this review it's on sale but even if it wasn't I'd implore anyone to buy it since it is 100% worth the price.
