Wow.

The people who are somehow offended that this game has the same exact premise as every other Wolfenstein game should do some soul searching. It was in production long before Trump announced he was going to run for office so stop making it about yourselves and enjoy it. It's the 1960s, instead of protesting the Vietnam war our protagonists are protesting the Nazi occupation of the entire world. The American people are going along with the occupation like North Korean citizens go along with their oppressive government... Traitors are rewarded and people that do not comply are killed. Bethesda created an amazing world where all this makes sense, people that have politicized this game would find that even the KKK is defended up to a point and that you as the hero do some horrible, horrible stuff. Almost everyone walks a grey line or is led to believe what they are doing is just (exactly like many Germans during WW2).

Now for the review of the game itself and not the part that idiots cannot see past.

STORY
I played the game all the way through without reading one review, simply because I wanted to be surprised. The story and cutscenes were so great I never imagined anybody would find anything negative to say about it. This is especially true during the last half of the game, where I was compelled to record video to show friends and family later. There is no movie or TV show great enough to even touch what this game did for me emotionally. The music and most of the voice acting helped tremendously, but there was also a lot of comedy that I was not expecting, like a long birthday party cutscene where everybody gets hammered and amongst all the hijinx your pilot loses his prosthetic arm, forcing you to find it while everybody else is trying to sober him up enough to fly you to your next mission. Its better than any other video game story I've ever experienced (including The New Order).

GRAPHICS AND PERFORMANCE
The graphics are a little dated, but nothing at all to scoff at. I would put them on par with DOOM. My computer is fairly dated, (3770k and 32Gb ddr3 ram with a 980ti) runs it at Mein leben! setting, which is the max graphical setting, at a steady 60fps on a 1440p monitor. There have been areas that the fps has dropped to the high 40s but it's so rare I would not count them. Maybe people that are having issues are using AMD? As for bugs I only had one during the very last cutscene where the video stopped playing for 15 seconds but the audio continued. I was shocked to see so many people complaining about artifacts, bugs, and glitches as I had none. I thought there were moments where the game was bugged but it turns out that I was not using my abilities correctly, so if you think it's not spawning enemies or opening a door for you just look around and think of different ways you can use your abilities.

CONTENT
The map design was pretty top notch and the variety was almost as good. There is one particular level that was recycled that I did not much appreciate, but everything else was varied and fun. The guns were fun too, but I feel that they did not create enough enemy variety to warrant even the seven guns you can get. Upgrades to certain firearms make others irrelevant in a way that is disappointing why use the laser rifle when the assault rifle with a scope does so much damage that even mechs take a few seconds to blow up? especially while dual wielding. Like the last game the music was amazing and really set the mood, I'll be adding a few tracks to my phone to listen to later on.

CONCLUSION

This game is epic and I will be doing another play through with a different perk (I chose the bracers where you can tackle people, doors, boxes, etc). It was fun but restricted my playstyle in a few spots, so I'd like to do a more stealth approach next time. Its got some content that will unlock in (as of this writing) 8 days that I cant wait to see. It's the best game to come out in years and I highly, highly recommend it to anyone. Just don't get caught up in the similarities to todays political climate and look at it as a game set in the 1960s (which it is) which continues the story from The Old Blood (which it does).
