I got bored very quickly, since 2023 no evolution, the Ai gets tired very quickly

TO MUCH BLOOM you can't even turn off the bloom it's every where i don't like it

in 1 hour you have seen everything you can do you won't go above that

i tried to go far but it's a soul-like type which i never succeeded to go far.

Technical issue for sure, so much micro-freeze

the story oh yeah there's a story and it's not original it's typical "You are the chosen one help us"

Gameplay pretty tedious too painful

companions: you can only travel with one companion not two i don't like the idea

i gave up for being bored

Even it's EA i do not recommend the game, banished does the job perfectly.

everything takes so much to develop for example you want to have more people well you need to build non stop houses and wait like 8 seasons to see people joining you

it uses unreal engine and i'm anti-UE, UE is for showing beauty not for making a game cause this engine is unstable no matter the version.

i got bored very quickly and i'm not sure this game will make you last more than 1 hour because it's EA so many features are not available.

For me it's just a tech demo not EA

I had to mod the game but even that i couldn't go back.

The story doesn't give me the vibe of mass effect,

The gameplay is so fluid it's not like in mass effect which is annoying.

You are the pathfinder so you aren't bonded to one class it's not really interesting to be multi task

The companions are written by a 5 year old

The voice acting is bad and not on point (mea tried to reproduce mass effect but failed)

The idea to do like mass effect 3, linking the online is the worst idea so if you want material use the strike team i don't want to use the online feature that ruins the experience of the solo

Tedious gameplay, spamming one button making my hands in pain

Story like any FF doesn't attract me

gears are meh

the characters have no souls

it's too repetitive

So let's get to the point of why i didn't like the game.

Play as kasane.

The scenario like an anime then after 2 hours you realize you have lost X hours of your life for a bad story with 0 sense.

Kasane is the typical girl with no soul and no curiosity it's all about onee-chan ONEE-CHAN DAISUKIIIIIII.

Maybe yuito is better... big lol. Yuito is the typical guy from hentai who doesn't understand why his pant has been removed by a girl.

Kasane has so many questions but every time she encounters someone from the OSF she doesn't care, so the situation is weird.

What about the story ? it's about time travel but nothing makes sense.

What about the gameplay ? beginning is okay and then you tend to feel how painful it is, the fight goes from smooth to super rigid, i ended up having my right hand shake and i don't like that.

And of course they have added the companions powers to do more damage because your own power is useless however their powers don't last long so you end up smashing the buttons until you can turn on their powers to do more damage (this is why bayonetta 2 and 3 were bad)

Another issue is when you get countered (A LOT) if you get stunned you watch your companions doing nothing and small damage for 5-6 seconds

And let's not forget about the dodge they have added like bayonetta a small "bullet time" when you dodge "PERFECTLY" but it's useless because most of the time you just spam your attack to clear the fight.

What about boss fight ? not memorable, pretty annoying also when they talk and the conversation is on the left which is stupid because you have to focus on the fight so no way you can read and fight at the same time.

The bonding is useless you can skip.

What about exploration ? hopefully it's not an open world it's just a small aera.

what about the gears and weapons: The dlcs do the job, however you don't feel powerful with your weapons.

I gave up after 8 hours cause the story and gameplay are so bad i got pain and nausea.

Why negative ?

This is game is just a tech demo where everything doesn't work when you reach a gap.

Also you get very tired after 10 minutes trying to reach another gap and you can't because something doesn't work anymore.

the speed is limited to x4 while on banished it's x10 speed

it gets boring because not enough features, you can check the workshop you won't find something interesting.

even the devs has released a new update don't think it changes something they have just upgraded the version of the engine that's it.

This game shouldn't be sold but delisted for mocking people.

Don't listen to those who hate the game.

It has flows i have noticed, okay the story lacks of "you didn't see that coming" vibe, yes you can feel it when the story is going to play its joker card (not joker but you know what i mean)

Yes leveling is annoying, yes combo is hard to chain and make it longer, yes i recommend Batgirl over Nightwing, red hood and robin because they feel depressed of losing batman.

I do hate to travel with the bike.

But in the end, the game just wants to be loved and i enjoyed, it needed time to be better than Arkham Origin.

For me it's a 6/10

Question: So do i recommend this game after someone found out a solution by replacing one single file ?

Answer: Still no.

Why ?: You can't play a solo game without internet required. The devs gave a way to play offline by using steam in offline mode. There's an option while you create a private server, you can click "solo mode" then nobody will pop up and annoys you by building walls against you.

Question: So how is the game ?

Answer: I haven't played enough but so far it's interesting, except if you're on linux you need to add DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% to avoid stutter when a mob attacks you.

Question: How is the visual ?

Answer: It's pretty, not good, not bad could need an improvement in the future.

Question: What about the character creation ?

Answer: You can create a male or female vampire with different features, for hair + color, face + color, little feature for their faces (beard, jewels, mask).

Question: How is the gameplay ?

Answer: At first i thought it was a moba but it's not, it is more a hack N slash which was my first thought when i saw the trailer. It's less than disappointing i like it.

Question: What do you think about the multi ?

Answer: I don't play multi, from what i have read people, complain about being blocked by a wall by people who build their castles.

Question: Is the map procedural ?

Answer: Nope totally not. That's an issue if one day they add a solo mode. Drake hollow, minecraft, valheim and i forgot, some have a procedural map.

Question: What other features are in-game ?

Answer: Can't tell you enough, i have seen crafting, i have read about build a castle. I need to go deeper to give a final review but i can't recommend it right now since it's a still an alpha... i mean an early alpha access. Once the game goes 1.0 i'll update my review and give a final thought.

Pre-conclusion: As i said i haven't played enough, the game runs well on gentoo

I don't recommend the game, if you want to play on linux (and steam deck) basically no communication from the devs, on discord the devs don't put a foot in it because of wave of requests (sometimes useless hard to filter good requests).

1.B problem: the bundle is hella expensive for just cosmetics.

Second problem: The game runs on Unity, normally Unity and Linux are good friends but Stunlock has decided to do it another way like a middle finger for linux.

Third problem: No solo mode it's full online because it's a mmo x moba (the gameplay is you play Vladmir from LOL with a dash), you can create a private server, host one or join a server.

Fourth problem: the map is not procedural unlike Drake hollow, valheim, minecraft to name but a few.

Alternative solution: use bottles (something i recently heard about) this could fix the issue.

Honestly i have nothing else to say because under linux it launches ONE time you reach the menu and then it crashes and never reach the menu again only crashes at launch.

I hold my negative comment because i feel the devs aren't honest and the bundle is not worth it.

Move on if you wanted that game so badly on linux or steam deck, I'll probably change my review if the price changes for 10 euros. because at 20 euros for an early access i feel like i'm being scammed + the bundle.

Fairy and deduction

Let's be honest the game is short but it is enjoyable, the soundtrack is good, the main character is charming, that fairy isn't like navi and lot of questions about the ending i wish we had some answers or a second episode but anyway i don't regret it.

I recommend it cause it's a gem and needs to be seen.
