Evangelion mixed with the first Silent Hill. Wonderful story, even if its a bit hard to follow.

If you know, you know. The rest of you are probably wondering wtf this trash game is.

I only have a little time on steam, but probably over a couple hundred on iOS. This is the game that started it all, and can still stand up against slay the spire any day. Peter Whalen was snatched up by Blizzard as soon as they got wind of this game and recognized his talent.

I'm not gunna sugar coat the assets, because the art looks like it was created by a 5 year-old, but the mechanics are incredible. If you like any rogue-like deck builders, you will love this game.

Wonderful game, somewhere perfectly between xcom and into the breah.

Surprisingly, the best part was the story. Awesome dialog, great characters, and witty enough to cut something.

Perfect length too! Every mission added something new, and the story wrapped up before anything could get tedious.

Stop, don't do it, don't buy this. There is a chance to spare yourself from the curse.

Did you play Earth Defense Force? Its that but better.

Half game, half IDE. Very faithful implementation of Python. Many other "coding" games hide behind a wall that simplifies the language, where-as this lets you see right behind the curtain at the python code behind each component. Bonus points, the documentation is solid.

I would detract some points away due to the gamification of using stars to unlock what feel like very basic python tools, but I also recognize this helps pace people with less knowledge. Overall the game strikes a good balance, it didn't take me long at all to unlock the basics.

I would consider myself an intermediate Python programmer, and have wasted many many hours on websites like codewars and leetcode. This definitely scratches a similar itch, but adds a whole new layer of "physical" toys to move around with code.

Feels simple to start, however new crew members add much more complexity. Character dialog is actually very funny, and a lot of the dialog persist between runs or references previous choices (think Hades).

I don't think the FTL comparisons are accurate, but If you like slay the spire, you'll like this.

Slow burn at first, because the game introduces mechanics over the course of many "rounds", but the complexity is definitely there.

I dont know how many hours this game claimed. Even today it stands tall against rimworld, prison architect, or any other "colony management sim".

Pokemon with all of the quality of life changes it should have had ages ago. Much better difficulty curve too, which made me need to think strategically much earlier than in trad Pokemon games.
