Even after the Feybreak update, the game is still fun to play! I'll just say, I really enjoy it more than the Early Access launch and already during the initial launch it was already fun! Still recommend!

This is possibly the first RPG game I have fully committed to doing a NG+ AND even re-watching the anime and story cutscenes. The story is well written (As typical of Atlus games but they are well done overall) and the gameplay is something to write home about too. I don't want to spoil much but I highly recommend giving this game a shot!

Initially I said from the start of Season 1 that the game was overall pretty bad and lackluster.

Now, they really improved it and even went above and beyond what we initially got plus some more. A lot of great QoL changes and even some massive buffs on some under-utilized weapons and characters. Honestly, I am quite stoked on what the team is gonna do moving forward. This game really has potential and I say, let them cook.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ is the game's Sound so bad? Why did EA fire more staff members from the team?

And why are the servers just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Don't play unless you have brain damage like me, and even then don't think of even TRYING this game with how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA is lately.

This game is REALLY unforgiving now if you're just trying to learn the game and even then, with all the inconsisent bugs and issues that has plagued this game since its release (Such as the inconsistent sounds like footsteps not being heard even though they're sprinting RIGHT BEHIND YOU ACCORDING TO THE KILLCAM... WHEN THERE'S NO FIGHT HAPPENING). Not new player friendly and just ♥♥♥♥ engine overall.

Just finished the main story (And going to do the Burning Shores DLC next) but what a fantastic port and beautiful game. I will recommend for the best experience is having a Graphics Card that has more than 8GB of VRAM because there are times where I was literally starved of VRAM and get dropped FPS when in cutscenes with more than 3 characters at once.

Besides that, great story and gameplay overall. A lot of things to do and explore and I recommend taking the time to do the optional stuff as they are very worth doing. Guerrilla games definitely improved the Melee System but it's still not great, but rather clunky and rarely used as you're using your other weapons such as Bows more often. I won't spoil anything but please play Horizon: Zero Dawn first before touching this game. Amazing game and can't wait till Horizon 3 comes out, whenever that happens.

EDIT since April 28 2024: I finished the Burning Shores DLC and oh boy did I drop frames a lot during the outdoor areas of the game but other than that, really good game! I will definetely replay this game again once I get a new higher end rig (Like an RTX 5080 and AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D build... Whenever that comes out this year)

UPDATE/EDIT May 10, 2024: Looks like they're blocking a few more countries to be sold now. And just when things are calming down. Back to the Negative review it goes.

Sony... Oh Sony... No plans to help legitimate players, who lives outside of their supported countries, and who BOUGHT the game on Steam before the mandate for a PSN account news.

Other people have shared in the Steam reviews of the Sony hacking history and let's say I don't trust them and really despise this practice. I do have a PSN account but it's the principal that matters. Leave no other Helldivers behind!

UPDATE May 6, 2024: We did it! Sony has reversed their decision for PSN linking as of time of posting.

Absolutely worth the full price in my opinion. As of now, I still haven't finished the game but I have beaten the original game twice before (Well, on the PSP version on both Male and Female routes) and this game really brings in a lot of the modern Quality of Life updates since Persona 5. Combat is just amazingly smoother and usable just like Persona 5 and Persona 4 and it's so much better than the reliance of the old AI system back on the PS2 days. The Link episodes makes up for it on the fact that you couldn't Social Link the other Male members of S.E.E.S. and learn more about the cast better.

Worth a purchase and something that you should consider buying.

Update as of Mar 21, 2024

Finally finished the game. Without spoiling, the game is faithful to what transpired in the original PS2 release and Portable. A little too faithful to the plot and how the characters are written but that's how I feel. But what is the most mind-♥♥♥♥ of a business decision from ATLUS/SEGA is the pricing of The Answer DLC. We knew this DLC was bound to happen, but the price of said DLC is stupid and it's BUNDLED with other stuff that I am sure people will not care about much. Let's not brush off the fact that customers who paid for the Ultimate Edition (I have...) are basically getting ripped off basically. I kinda expected to get proactive DLCs but knowing their history even since SMT IV and afterwards, I also kinda expected to NOT get the proactive treatment. It's up to you guys if you want to buy the bundle but I'm gonna wait until there's a sale eventually (I hope to god there is one...).

Way better than the first game. Better story telling, better combat system than the first and more complex with it too. You will cry at the secret final boss but worth the challenge.
