I got this game on this weekends free Steam trial with the intention of buying, since it's also on sale at the moment, *if* I enjoyed it. I didn't. At first it was quite intriguing and I was incredibly interested in seeing what it had to offer despite the pace and constant setbacks - but, after hours of honestly TRYING to enjoy this game, I couldn't take it anymore.

The game is incredibly slow, nothing ever happens, there is a lack of instructions/direction, and almost everything you do results in something bad happening. I feel like I've genuienly wasted the entire day because of this. The fact that even the store page description says you have to die a couple times before you even start to get anywhere in the game was the first warning but after seeing how true it is I would not ever recommend this to anybody.

Just to make it clear, it's definitely not a matter of my patience being thin either. I'm an incredibly patient person who enjoys games that involve incremental/diminishing returns, text-based gameplay, and things of the sort. This game is just absolutely unreasonable. Even the guides show that nobody has a single clue how to get anywhere in this game.

Would recommend to people who don't care about cake.

A game that still holds weight and despite being 12 years old (2016) I'd easily put this over countless modern games. Have recommended to enough people that I should be entitled to sales commissions.
