Easy to learn hard to master. Any fans of Relink or the original mobile game have lots of small things to enjoy. Such as, every character having a multiple dialogue interacts with every unique pairing.
Only major detractor is that this is a modern game where every character is kept very close in balance with lots of near-global system mechanics. So many characters might feel a bit same-y. At least a third of the roster could be considered sword shotos.
But this game has pretty much everything: Good network; a good cast; great current dev support; good secondary modes (though grand bruise does get tiring rather fast). The last two detractors I'll mention is this game does Battle Passes, so if you are FOMO averse then you might have to stay away, though I think it is done as well as it can be while still being a battle pass. And secondly, the DLC is pretty expensive, but I think they're worth it.
Definitely worth picking up, especially on a sale.

This game has it all. If you have any interest in its genre of "movement shooter" then it is a must buy.
So much tech exists to make you feel like a god, as you projectile boost, ultraricoshot and more to shred through the layers of hell.
Ultrakill is quirky and uses secret levels to explore other genres, so far we have horror, platformer and puzzles out so take a break from the main content to try some other challenges.
This game also has good replay-ability but you can always try the customization accessible endless mode with the Cybergrind.
Have I mentioned how great the music is?
And if it ever gets to being too much, there are some worry free difficulty options.

I understand the story is the main dev wanted to make a game that was fun first, and I believe Hakita, and the New Blood team deliver that vision perfectly.

Probably buy it on sale, but it is good enough to warrant full price if you like fighting games.
Good but not great for newcomers to traditional fighters.
If you like Dragon Ball but not fighting games, get it on a sale, the character interactions in the story and round start/victory screens are very fun.
I would say this game is at its most fun when you play with friends, but it can be fun to just lab offline, and matchmaking when it works well can be a blast. (Rollback please)
This is the definitive Dragon Ball video game, and one of the best fighting game out right now.

Get Civ 6 if you can, but if this is on sale for like 10 dollars, sure 5 (this one) is fun. Mods make it the most fun.

As of writing this review, I believe I've hardly scratched the surface of this game, but the combat, dialogue, and world are beyond beautiful.


Also 2B's has a really nice ass.

The game but streamlined only really hitting on the lore of Papers, Please rather than the story. Which isn't a bad thing per say.
