A wonderful D&D Faerun experience made into an RPG game. This should be the gold standard for all games for the next decade at least; your choices actually have a significant impact on the story, no two playthroughs will be the same, all the characters have unique and extensive backstories that can all be completed as well. After 130 hours i feel like I've just scratched the surface of this game, and had an incredible time the whole way through. Everything is masterfully crafted and put together in the best way possible.

I'll start with this: Take the warnings this game has seriously. OMORI does NOT beat around the bush when it comes to topics like suicide, anxiety, depression, dissociative amnesia, neglect, and just mental illness in general. If you are struggling with any of these, take these warnings VERY seriously, and please, talk to someone. You are a valued member of society and the world shines brighter with you in it.

With that being said. OMORI is one of, if not the best psychological game to exist. It takes Yume Nikki, adds one of the best stories I've ever experienced, and cranks it up past 11/10. This game WILL leave a pit in your stomach. The line you have to walk when making a game of this sort and addressing these serious issues is so thin, yet it is done perfectly throughout the whole game. The amount of things in OMORI that can conveyed through sheer imagery alone is testament to this. You will never not feel unsettled, yet it's never overwhelming, until it's meant to be. You will feel the emotions of the characters, you will feel attached to them, have the feeling of knowing them, cry with them, laugh with them, and experience the world through this story crafted around them, especially if you have suffered from similar experiences or illnesses. It's perfectly crafted in every aspect. If you are questioning buying OMORI due to reasons other than the warnings, don't. Buy the game. Experience the masterpiece for yourself. And remember to play the game multiple times, you will miss a lot your first play-through and there are two routes to this game.
