Good game, but a couple things keeping it from being a great game.

First off, no NG+? A metroidvania in 2023 should come stock with NG+. I did the final boss without doing 100% under the impression I could just do it all again in NG+ (because, again, why the frick would there not be NG+ in a metroidvania) now I have zero motivation to go back.

Second, the boss difficulty curve goes from extremely simple for 95% of the game then to EXTREMELY tedious for the last couple bosses. These last bosses also come with unskippable cutscenes (one is even in the middle of a fight), which is really cool when you're on your 10th attempt.

Overall the weapons are fun, the movement and traversal is miles ahead of the first game, and the story is neat.

Game is a solid 3.5/5 in the state it's in right now. Add NG+ and it'll be a 4/5

Garbaggio

Was excited to play survival mode, but the game gets unplayable (frames drop to 3 fps) with too many towers. Why release DLC that is unplayable?

The new towers and decks are cool.

2/10 until survival mode is fixed.
