this game is "ok". i hate saying that cause im sure a lot of hard work went into making it, but it feels kind of disappointing to play. every level has a different background track, but they all sound the same. an opportunity was missed to give each level its own identity instead of them all sounding the same. combat and movement is very responsive, but a lot of enemies can be very boring to fight. others can be extremely frustrating (the lancers, and the stupid tri-shot bees). enemy difficulty is managed by just "make enemies more annoying" than trying to get creative with enemy design. by the end of the game they resort to just "spam poison so if you dont buy enough antivenoms you kinda just die" visual design is outstanding, the levels look amazing all around, but the monotone soundtrack leaves the environment and ambience feeling less outstanding than it should given how the game looks. the story is alright, nothing really to complain about. the skill point system feels redundant, since you can pretty much unlock the whole thing, the ability to reset your points seems useless when you can just fill the entire tree with points.

overall, good for the price but disappointing in that it could have been better.

its heavily flawed and the story isnt the best but it's still fun.
bonus points for the unique way the difficulty settings work

great example of a streamlined game

target flew out of bounds during the ship flight tutorial, game will rip the controller out of your hands if you try to follow it out so you can be within shooting range, making the tutorial uncompletable. ship flight controls are awful and nauseating.
