An excellent storytelling game that proves once again limitations is not an issue to express yourself through gameplay and narration.

The game that pioneered, shaped, and defines MOBA as a genre. Highly competitive gameplay with variable player powers supported with nearly thousands of build, but none of this matters if you don't have the edge to best your opponent's team.

Guacamelee! bright Cartoon Network-esque graphics & catchy soundtrack plunges players into the game universe in no time. The game initially appealed to me as a comedic Mexican metroidvania, but once the protagonist, Juan, received more and more power, the gameplay complexity and the brilliance of level design scales up proportionally. Not to mention the tight control & fluid combo system the game has to offer.

One letdown that I can think of is perhaps the lack of lucha libre grappling moves & high flying acrobatic attacks which symbolize the real spirit of luchador, indeed in this game you find those moves replaced by generic strikes & throwing animations like any other action game.
