I really, really, really like this game. This is one of my favorite strategy experiences in a long time, and I think people should buy and play this game.

From what I can tell, most of the negative reviews are because the game somehow didn't meet the reviewer's expectations. "I expected it to be easier," or, "I didn't expect it to be a board game," or "I expected the terraforming mechanics to play a bigger role."

Here's the thing: the game has a free demo on steam under the name "Terraformers: First Steps on Mars." If you are interested in this game, but have reservations about buying it, just play the demo. It rules, and will give you a good idea of what to expect from the gameplay.

Like I said, I really really like this game and I think it is worth buying. But don't take my word for it, try it for free and you'll see how good it is yourself.
