The Animation Locked-Aim Assist Protocol. 75% through the game my save vanished and I had to start over. Apparently it's a known bug that they never addressed and has a bootleg fix which happen to not work for me.

The game has mandatory aim assist enabled (mouse and keyboard user) after you do a combo on an opponent. However, the opponent also enters an "enrage" period at the same time where you must shoot a tentacle on them within 5 seconds to kill them or they enrage. The problem? The aim assist locks you onto a spot other than said tentacle for the next 4 seconds, forcing you to fight against the aim assist each fight in addition to the enemy. This can be disabled via the skill tree later in the game, but that is just a joke to have to spec into a fix for the poor gameplay mechanics.

The final boss fight mandates using the assault rifle. I decked out my shotgun and went into the fight and was spawned in with my AR. You cannot readily change weapons on the fly, forcing me to reload a save prior to decking out my shotgun to load up on AR ammo.

The final boss fight is literally run around a metal half wall kiting it. If it ever catches you it's a one shot kill, no dodging, no skill, just run.

The game makes a wonderful first impression as it has wonderful graphics, performance and a top-notch environment. Once you get about a third of the way into the game it introduces the mandatory aim assist mechanic in addition to the tentacle enrage. That is the beginning of this game's demise as it tanks from a 9.5 to a 5.

Avoid this one, it's depressing how bad it is in the end.
