Great direction.

A couple suggestions:

Clean up the UI - way too many pop-ups in the beginning, as other hanve mentioned. But also, cleaner icons would be good. And there's some critical stuff like (in my case) waking colonists from cryosleep was totally lost in popups and modular buildings.

The connections for power/life support/pipes could look a lot cleaner. You can see from the preview that you end up with these spiderweb-looking connections in crowded areas, yet they don't actually connect to the buildings visually. So even after a couple hours of playing I was still pulling up the power or LS overlays because the graphics were not very clear (which is critical in a puzzley colony managment sim like this). I'd like to see it changed so that if a supply line touches a building on 3 sides, there is only one connection point shown (as you would really build IRL) and that connection actually ATTACHES to the building somewhere, not just disappearing into the ground nearby.

Also don't spawn survey sites under your colony ship. I got really confused and build weirdly trying to not block myself off from digsites not knowing if it mattered or not on my first playthrough.

Lots of little fiddly stuff like that. I could see this being really good once I understood everything, but there's some hurdles to entry.

It's not a sequel to BG 1&2 because it's a completely different genre. Went from to realtime tactics to turn based strategy, very different feel and 100x slower. Also the plot was written by an 11-year-old. Amazing that I can talk to every beggar and rat in the world, but why bother...? That said it's an amazingly detailed game, just not Baldur's Gate. More like Divinity 3.

Needs interface work but lots of fun. The buttons to build towers are the same size and shape as the towers themselves so it needs adjustment. also very easy to accidentally click an upgrade when it pops up mid-play (this happens several times each level)

At first the balance seems like a mess but then you realize every level unfolds completely differently and what worked for one may not work on another. Except the artillery guns ("Juggernaut"?) - those are always OP :)

Frankly I don’t get the hype - you can only build in a few predetermined spots on the levels. Then there’s linear progression for the most part depending on which of the small number of spots you pick. Beyond minimalist.
