I've been playing Soulslikes since I imported a Chinese copy of Demon's Souls before it released outside of Asia. This game is one of the better non-FromSoft games in the genre. The art design, dual world system and level design are absolutely impeccable as is the end game fashion. Some bosses are underwhelming and a lot of weapons share the same moveset but these are minor gripes in an otherwise awesome experience.

The only real negatives are performance and technical issues. The only way I can get a smooth framerate is to either use FSR (which doesn't look great) or by lowering the game's internal rendering resolution. I've also experienced a lot crashes and they always seem to happen when the game is trying to load a visual effect from an enemy attack or spell. Apart from that it's been a great experience.

The devs seem to really care about the game and they release frequent updates. Sometimes these patches take a step in the wrong direction but they do take feedback into consideration and try to give us the best possible experience.

TL/DR: This a very solid soulslike with an amazing art direction and some of the best level design ever seen in the genre only held back by some technical problems.

The parkour system and overall traversal is a massive improvement over the first game and the combat is alright but everything else feels like a step back. The only time I find myself enjoying the game is when I'm just running, jumping, sliding and swinging around the world. If you enjoyed the first game this is worth a look but don't buy it for full price, wait for a sale.

Great modern cRPG in the style of the classics. Excellent writing and role-playing.

Awesome game. I have 173 hours on the PS4 version and I will probably top that here. It runs great on my PC and unlike a lot of other people on Steam I managed to figure out you can select between Xbox and PS button prompts. One of the best action games ever made and certainly my favourite combat system in a game.

A great game with a great setting and excellent atmosphere. Highly recommended to fans of the soulslike genre. The addition of local co-op and remote play together as well as the low price of entry makes this a no-brainer.
