Get this game. Now. Especially if you're a fan of Diablo 2, Torchlight I and II, Path of Exile, etc. This is a wonderful action RPG with a mythological setting, amazing loot, and a unique dual-class system that can lead to TONS of character builds. The only thing some players might take issue with is the lack of randomly generated maps, but it really doesn't affect gameplay poorly. Drops and classes are all well-balanced and the game looks BEAUTIFUL. It also plays well on older/lower end setups; I'm playing right now on a laptop with integrated Intel HD 3000 gfx and it still looks incredible. Best of all, it's still being supported.

Check this post to join in the public beta by Nordic games for a revamped multiplayer (no more Tunngle or Himachi!) Or just look at this picture for instructions: http://ds.nordicgames.at/SteamBetaBranchGuide.jpg

Seriously, get this game now. it's totally worth it, even at full price. 10/10

Early Access Review
This is the best F2P game I have ever played. I'd recommend going Silver VIP through one of the many ways you can so you have access to the Market.

Anyone remember Herzog Zwei? Or am I just old? Well that game is this x1,000. Just download AirMech and play already!

In short, you pilot a giant robot that can fly or walk, and command units around a battlefield RTS-style. You capture bases in games against humans (PvP) or bots (PvE) in a variety of battlefields. In these matches you can use one of a number of mechs, either earnable through playing to earn spendable 'kudos' or purchasable through packs. The game is still in beta, and only getting better. More maps, more mechs, more units, special holiday-themed units, event-themed units...you get the idea.

Just play it already! It's free, it's fast, it's fun, and it's ADDICTIVE!!!

UPDATE: With the constant updtes to this game, it's becoming more and more balanced. The developers are great and are constantly listening to feedback (and responding) on the ingame chat and on the forums. It's great to see developers that actually care!

Ignore the metacritic score. It's freakin' awesome. I'd say it's like Halo meets a Tower Defense game (with one one tower to defend, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't shoot), set in Jurassic Park after the dinosaurs broke out, but without all those pesky fences.

In essence, X number of dinosaur waves come at your team (10-30-infinite I believe), and after each wave, your team has a chance to purchase weapons and upgrades. There are also upgrades you can get for you whole account/player, but I've only gotten one so far, so I don't want to give any misinformation; I can't recall what I achieveved to get the upgrade. That's how they work though, accomplish an "acheivement" and then in the future you'll always have that upgrade the "acheivement" granted you.

I won't give too much away, but the vehicles are ALL awesome, and the whole game is loads of fun. Not to mention, look in their "recent updates" area of thier Steam page: "Buy ORION: Dino Horde, Get ANOTHER Game FREE!" Read it. Enough said.

Buy this while on sale and you won't regret it. If I knew it was this good, I would have probably already have bought it before Steam's "Sales" section got me again.

It's the best game I've ever gotten on Steam for $0.99, and it's better than a lot of current FPS big name titles.

Buy it. Play it. You won't regret it. At least try the free 2 days!

This is your basic Pay to Win crap. I couldn't even play a mission with my wife because I didn't want to spend money on anything yet. Which means yes, if you're planning on downloading this to play with a friend, you need to spend real money to be able to do so. Or you could grind for 7,800 'crowns' just to trade for 100 'energy'. Energy is the bane of this game's existence. If you haven't figured out yet, energy is what you buy with real life money.

The game mechanics themselves are fun, but the Pay 2 Win (in this case, pay to even play with a friend) aspect really killed the game for me.

Grade: D

This game had much potential, but the P2W aspect ruins it. Not to mention the trolls and spammers. One person was walking around just begging my friend and I to trade and spamming requests...I traded once with him, my friend didn't...but this guy didn't relent. He just kept on trollin': running around us, spamming chat and trade requests. This and one other person were in the Arcade. I don't kknow about you, but I don't like games with $h!tty communities!

This is not a modern-day type FPS. No realistic crap, no Call of Duty or Battlefield-type "take cover or die" realism. This is a BALLS-OUT bad@ss old school FPS. Did you like (the original) Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake, and Duke Nukem 3D? If you answered yes to any of these: Buy ths game. Now.

Now to the uninformed, Serious Sam The First Encounter is a FPS bullet hell with swarms of enemies, no cover, but plenty of bombs. Just collect guns and shoot, shoot, shoot!!!! The physics are wonderful and the enemies look hideous and hilarious simultaneously. Plenty of blood and guts, many enemies, and a ton of weapons (I forgot how many, I'm sure the store page says).

And don't forget Sam Stone's comments. I think he was Duke Nukem's cousin. Maybe nephew. Maybe both.

A+ in my book. I'm a fan of old school bad@ssery, but if you're not, the game may not be for you. Go back to Call of Duty, sheep.

Great game. I love the 3D isometric view (Diablo 2 style, but 3D), the team aspect, diferent weapons, upgradeable players/equipment, etc. Download it now, and play a game with me! And join The Big Bug Resistance group...we're taking it back!

Awesome, F2P, free stuff from the beginning, and cheap items to boot. Sales ALL the time. Not bad for a FPS-MMO-
Tower Defense Game, eh? I've only logged 2.7 hours so far but I see playing a LOT of this. A-, only because of F2P.
PLAY THIS NOW!
