Unfortunately they reworked everything that made the Alpha a really exciting prospect and foundation, into a half-baked, much less exciting and weak foundation they're going to try and build on instead. Core gameplay loop is repetitive in the worst way, transparently time-consuming and generally unrewarding. The sense of never becoming powerful is coupled with a sense of constantly becoming weaker.
