Solid port/remaster/remake/whatever you wanna call it. This takes inspiration from the original NES version of FFIII that was never localized overseas, so it's quite different from the 3D remake most overseas fans are familiar with, but in its own good way. This remaster is incredibly close to the NES version, besides obvious bug fixes and loads of balancing fixes (the best of which being the final dungeon, there's healing points, finally! And you can save wherever you want which is also super helpful for the Dark World) The game runs great, graphics/artstyle is overall super nice, and the music arrangements are stellar. The biggest issue I have with this game, along with the other pixel remasters, is the god awful UI and font. You're going to want to get mods to fix the font, without a doubt. The UI overhaul mods are also great and make the game look miles better. Besides that one issue though, this version FFIII is super solid. Definitely worth your time.
