Generally good looking tech demo... if you don't look too close. Uses around 20GB (!) of VRAM at 1440p on my 7900XTX and runs like crap even on the lowest setting with no upscaler. All of that with a relatively slow and noisy ray tracing. Perhaps it will run faster on a 5090 or 4090, no hope for the lower tier cards due to the lack of VRAM. Recommend to check it out since its free and Half Life 2 is still a fun game even at 20ish FPS.

Gives another point of view on the events of half-life. Kinda short and none of the cool guns or new enemies of opposing force but still worthwhile to play if you get it on a sale.

Pretty good game, adds new guns, enemies and some new mechanics on top of the original. Follows a different character during the events of half-life and gives a different perspective on the story. Overall decent length and a good expansion to play after completing the main game.

Its half-life 2, but now everything is in a neat package with the episodes.

Good game, way lengthier and more ambitious than the first one with great levels. Although i'm not sure how the two are connected the story is interesting too, touching on the Polaris ship and rouge clones. The encounters are challenging, with the exception of the final boss which appears to be too easy even on the highest difficulty, better than the annoying one from the first game though. Very few bugs, one dude stuck underground and kept shooting at me during one of the APC levels, and the achievement for completing the game on normal or higher difficulty wasn't awarded to me for some reason.

If you played ancient gods part 1 this is a must as it continues where the previous DLC left off story wise. About the same length as the first DLC; more challenging than the base game but i would say less so than part 1, in part due to the sentinel hammer which lets you get more resources and extend stagger time. Locations are as always, beautiful and the final boss battle isn't too aggravating but could be a little drawn out. Oh and use the provided BFG ammo as you encounter it, its useless for the final boss. And yes, the spirit demon from part 1 makes a comeback here too... but by this point you should hopefully know how to handle them.

Short DLC that makes up for it with a higher difficulty compared to the base game. Great looking levels and a few new challenging/annoying demons that make you readjust the order in which you complete encounters. Slayer gates are a pain in the ass that aren't really worth doing for the rewards they give. Oh and this DLC advances the somewhat incomplete story of Samuel Hayden from the base game. Overall worth getting in a bundle if you enjoyed the base game and are looking for a new challenge/story progression.

A good game overall with a mix of open and linear maps and an interesting story and good characters, not as spooky as previous metro games. As with previous metro games the focus is on stealth especially on higher difficulties. graphics look good but while the ray tracing makes the light look good it is buggy with visual glitches and a weird bug that makes all of the light disappear (easily fixable by changing and reverting a graphical setting but annoying nonetheless). The DLCs are a good addition and help complete some of the backstory. A few bugs that made stealthy knockouts impossible and the aforementioned light bug but nothing major. overall recommended if you liked the previous metro games or want to give the franchise a try.

Don't trust these overly positive reviews, they seem to be fake or paid-for. Don't get me wrong, the game itself its terrible but it still plays like the original AVA (good and bad) and is all but dead, at least on the NA servers. Seems to be getting regular content updates and now has about the same content amount that the older AVA had.

Had a cool concept going with the different modification types you could apply to your cars to make them offroad or street variants, big map and an interesting street racing story. All of that is gone now thanks to ubisoft.
