Don't listen to the negative reviews if you loved DoD source. This game feels really good, like the successor to DoDs. Maybe thats why I'm loving it so much. It really feels like what Day of Defeat 3 would have been, an evolution of the formula without straying too far from its roots.

The recoil takes some getting used to but honestly after about 15 minutes of playing it felt like I was playing a better looking and feeling Day of Defeat with some evolved elements like dropping med packs, and ammo, and all the classes being able to ADS.

The graphics in terms of the maps are excellent, I love the atmosphere this game has. The characters could use an update and the animations are a little wonky but the game looks beautiful.

My only hope is that they clean up the character models a bit, and work on the sounds a bit more. I think the guns could sound a little bit more powerful and varied. Something DoD did really good was let you know what gun was shooting.

I won't lie this game is challenging because people who were good at DoDs which is over 10 years old will come into this game and dominate as it feels very similar. But if you learn the gunplay it is very satisfying and rewarding.

I recommend this to anyone who wants a more arcadey WW2 experience or who loved DoDs and wants an updated version of that game.
