TL;DR:
If you are looking for a game with a great story and you don’t need a high difficulty, you can go ahead and buy it, speaking of the main-game. (I recommend to buy it at g - 2 - a . com or somewhere else...)
Otherwise, if you are looking for a hard shooter but you are still interested in Bioshock Infinite; play it on hard first than you will get the 1999 mode, this mode should be really difficult. (But you dont need to play it on hard difficulty to unlock the 1999 mode, just btw)

I try not to spoiler in this review. So it could end up a little bit unclear. Sorry for that.

The Story is nice for a shooter. At the start, it feels like you got kicked into a "what the heck is happening here?" world. Two points I knew for sure: Well, it seems like Comstock aka The Prophet is the antagonist and ok it seems like I have to rescue a girl. So i had some questions: Why is the girl here? What do they want from the girl? Who the heck is the girl? Who the heck is Comstock? What does Comstock want? Why the heck is the city flying? And why is everybody hating me? Well, step-by-step it seems that the world and characters / audiotapes are answering my questions. At the end, all questions are nearly answered completely but you will get some mind♥♥♥♥s. The main-thing I didn’t liked with the story was the end / plot-solution. It seemed just random. I mean, the whole solution / explanation behind that story, speaking with the knowledge that you get at the end, is just a cheap one in my opinion. But that don’t means that the whole game is ♥♥♥♥ to me, no, it’s really great and I can "ignore" that little con-point.

The characters are... I think they are good for being characters in a shooter otherwise they wouldn’t be that good. But - to be honest - it really feels like you get characters with background etc. and of course they got a background, even if it’s a little one. Elizabeth got some characters development through the game and you really notice it. Booker seems like an everyday hero but even he got some points in his "biography" that seems interesting and explaining his character, same for Comstock, but he is the weakest character in my opinion because he just yells sometimes at you and at the end, he got 5 minute screen-time and is gone... Last but not least; the Lutece Twins are nice characters too, compared the quality of them isn’t that strong like Elizabeth's but they are funny and they are part of the plot.

Bioshock games are shooter games. So wooho... you are running around and you shoot people. You will get some extra-abilities like charming enemies so that they fight for you or that you can fire lightning bolts. You got HP, you got "Salt" so that you can use your abilities. (You can simply change "Salt" with Mana) The main-game is easy as ♥♥♥♥ and one of the reasons for that is Elizabeth: she just throws HP, Salt, Ammunition and Money to you when you need it. You drop down to 5% HP? No problem Sir, Elizabeth will throw a health-potion to you, in that animation, you can’t get damaged and get full HP, that counts for EVERY animation as far I remember. There is a passive-ability that gains you HP if you kill an enemy with a special-melee attack, while you do the animation of that attack, you can’t get hit and you will gain HP as soon as the animation ends. The Salt-Abilities are not needed most part of the game, it’s easy enough without, seriously. I just used them to get faster through mass-enemy spots. Because well, ain’t nobody got time for that. If you want some information’s about the weapons: standard weapons, nothing special, seriously. Last but not least: the enemies. The enemies are… okay… they are not pure ♥♥♥♥ nor they are good. There are a few different enemies with other moves / abilities… I think they could have added a bit more, like flying ones. (Beside the mosquitos.)

If you ignore some 2d textures like flowers and fruits the graphic is beautiful.

The audiopart in that game is just wonderful. I played with English and German Audio and both are just fantastic.

Well yeah, i just noticed this game last weekend and with the release of episode 2 i decided to bought it - all 5 episodes at once - and to make it clear : i think it definitely worth 15 € ~. (Bought about ♥♥♥)

So now to the review, but attention please, there will be spoilers but i will try my best to 'format' them:

I actually played both episodes yesterday/today. I already played episode 1 before when i visited a friend so i knew what happend, but - for real - i just got stunned again when Nathan shot Chloe, i just couldnt accept that no matter if i could reverse time or not, i just dont wanted to see that girl die - the funny thing is: when i played first time, i dont even knew it was Chloe. :D
this game is filled with nice detailed things, you can look on/at so many things, take pictures at several spots and you can sit down your character right next to a tree and enjoy the beatiful ambient.
I used an X-Box 360 Controller to play the game so i cant say that much about the Keyboard controlling, but i guess its okay, the x-box controller is just more 'chilling', you can just sit back and watch the game!

So next up:
Weve got:
A nice (imo) detailed world. (And the graphics looks nice for it.)
Spots to chillout or just looking the enviorment with nice soundtracks!
A side-feature which allows you to take photos of some nice things and it makes really fun to explore and find the things you can take photos of.

And now we come to another nice part: Dialogs!
But this is actually a little bit two-faced.
On the one hand we got dialogs even if we just stay or sit somewhere , the people around us are often going to talk something, but on the other hand - if they finished talking, the world seems a little bit quiet, but in my opinions thats not that bad because sometimes i just wanted to relax and see the ambient. All in one the dialogs are very nice written and spoken!
But wait, before i quit the dialog part, theres a thing i have to write down: the visualization of how they move their mouthes are not that good, but its still okay.

Characters:
In my opinion, after i played both episodes, i really had a clear picture of every character in my mind, how they look, how they act etc. except Max! But thats because you are playing max and you can choose very different decisions sometimes that makes it kinda hard to get Max real personality, but all in one i still think that Max is a shy geek girl that dont want to hurt somebody, she really cares about her friends but because she is shy its hard for her to show about her careness. For example: I really trust her when she said she really wanted to call or text Chloe, I really think she wanted to do but because shes so shy she just didnt made it.
About the personalities: i think there are not many ways to create such a whole new personalitie you could not recognize to some other characters from some movies/games etc. so you will not be that suprised if you looking for a game which tries to create whole new character-types, but thats not bad, in 2015 its very hard to create character-types / personalities you never saw before.

I dont want to talk about the story because at some points the game could really change if you choose other decisions.


So whats my final opinion about this game?:
This game is really awesome, i enjoy everything in it, the soundtrack, the characters, the ambient, the enviorment, the gameplay itself! After i got a bad ending for episode 2 i will play both episodes again soon to see if i could change the story alot. - I will edit the review than and tell you the outcome.
