Great game concept hobbled by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ implementation of standard features. To give a few examples:
I've played since the beta release and in the last 6-10 patches, every time after an update, I need to manually verify the integrity of all game files, otherwise I get disconnected due to EAC protection ♥♥♥♥ midway through the first game (it could at least notify me before I start...). This adds another hour or so of patching, which obviously sucks.
Matchmaking for SWF currently seems to take 5-15min, which obviously is a pretty high wait time.
You can turn off the music in the main menu but have to suffer the killer groaning anyway. I don't mind the gloomy music, but I can do without the hoarse groaning while waiting a quarter hour for a game...
Also it always plays a video on startup, which is nice, but the sound is not managed by your other sound settings in the game, so you get your ears blasted off and then remain deaf to the menu music for a while...
You don't automatically select a quest from the archives. You need to manually claim rewards for whatever reason too. Why not automatically select a killer quest and a survivor quest at least? Or let them all run in parallel?
You can't see your dailys half the time while in SWF matchmaking.
At least after several years they managed to make players stay in the same team after they left a game, tiny success there.
Overall, great game concept. Unique system which despite the inherent power difference of the different player roles feels pretty balanced and is definitely well done and balanced. But really could use a couple of months of the devs just sitting down and focusing on QoL improvements,
