This game has such an interesting premise but it does not deliver, Nowhere near it.


Pros:
The town is nice.
I didn’t encounter any bugs or crashes whatsoever.

That’s it.

Cons:

The voice acting is very hit and miss. ESPECIALLY the children’s voices. I don’t think I’ve actually heard worse. “What is a whampire?” Even the Inquisitor’s voice is kind of bad at times. Maybe it’s the accent for him.

Gameplay…gameplay.. what gameplay? You walk from one place to another then get into sword fights which are awful. The battle system is not responsive at all. It is inconsistent and very boring. Hell, even the cut scene battles are pretty dull but they do try with their slo mo close miss attack scenes.


The writing itself is a bit meh to be honest, Like, when the game shows you something, Mortimer then repeats what we were just shown in detail. Maybe it was for those who weren’t paying attention.

Graphics are a bit disappointing and off course we have a big brown world with muted colours again.


It did have potential.



When I played this game, I thought that the devs had never made a game before, I was close enough in that the devs were actually devs for mobile games and this was their first game outside of it…and looking back, I can see it. The game has the depth of a mobile game,

One of my friends put on a mask and it killed him but took over his body. I was getting chased by a spider and warned him to run but he wasn't running.

So I stop and ask why isn't he running and he kills me. And I get taken over.

Then my housemate sees him running towards her but she saw him get taken over by the mask and when we watch her on the camera, there she is getting chased by both of us back to the ship lol

The best part was he was pretending to be possessed by the mask as a joke then got actually taken over.

While the story mode is fun and every looks shiny, This game is absolutely not finished.
No krypt.
Boring Invasion mode.
and the heaps upon heaps of microtransactions coming for a full price game.


Avoid.

I am really trying to like this game but it seems to stutter quite a bit once you get to Hogwarts. Walking or running anywhere makes your character lag and it happens a bit too often.

The game just doesn't seem to want to work at all. Constant crashes keep happening and there does not seem to be any sign of a fix coming at all.
