Great game so far

I'll update my review once I've played for a few more hours!

Non-Gambling Quasi-Blackjack!

Do you want to play blackjack without wasting money? Do you crave the stimulating feeling of getting to that elusive 21?

You do?

Well, do you want a fun and addictive casino-adjacent roguelite? Then you’ve found a great game.

It does get a bit too complex at times, though. The keywords may be too much when you’re just starting. You’ll find cards with a lot of text which don’t really do much, and the other way around. When all gets too difficult, however, just trust your luck.

If you’re considering buying D&DG, don’t just stand—hit! It’s really good.

A very dicey game.

It's worth more than its price, that's for sure: there's already a lot of content, but there's even more on the way—for free!

The music is good. The graphics are nice to look at and quite charming. I would improve the animations, since the game doesn't feel responsive sometimes. Things should shake and pop a bit more.

Buy it if it seems like your thing. It's pretty good.

A Talking Simulator

Firewatch is a great, albeit short, experience. There aren't many characters, but the few that there are all feel believable and, in a way, real. The best example of that are, of course, Henry and Delilah, which are incredibly well-acted and well-written, to the point where their conversations feel like they have no script sometimes.

The story has many elements, notably isolation, loneliness, guilt, paranoia, and mental health, and all of them work together perfectly to provide a fantastic narrative experience which is unlike most games in its own special way. You will feel many different things as you play, and you will really get to connect with Henry, the protagonist, to the point where it feels like you become him for the duration of the game.

The music is fitting and well-composed, and the graphics and visuals are outstanding; beautiful vistas everywhere will make you feel incredibly immersed in this virtual world. The gameplay is somewhat minimal: you won't be killing hordes of enemies or anything like that, but it's not like the game needs that kind of thing.

If you want a good story with great characters, exploration and environments, this is the game for you. If you particularly want to hear two characters speak to each other in a way that feels completely believable, with dialogue choices that affect the outcome of the story, then this is the game for you, too.

Bastion is a fun, beautiful game

The story and the characters are very well-written, and it is simply a delight to explore this world; all of the locations feel unique, with gorgeous visuals and vistas. The combat is fun and varied, with many types of enemies and a lot of weapons that you can mix and match. Lastly, the music is really good, too, fitting the game perfectly.

A true classic from the 2010s, and a must-play title if you enjoy Supergiant Games–or games in general, for that matter.

Unique World, Unique Experience

Hollow Knight is, without a single doubt, a masterpiece; a modern classic that will be played and remembered for decades. The gameplay is amazing, with its fun, challenging combat and its rewarding exploration, with a world so complex and rich in detail that simply begs to be explored. The art is beautiful, including the locations, enemies, and NPCs, and the lore and the story are mysterious enough to keep you hooked the whole time.

A lot of secrets to discover, a lot of friends and enemies to meet, a lot of rewarding exploration–a lot of well-spent time, ultimately. Buy this game, gift it to a friend or two... There aren't many experiences like this, and every second of it should be cherished.
