I think the game has a LOT of potential in regards to modding. Base game needs a few QoL tweaks and changes since the majority of players are unhappy with how slow the UI feels. For instance, character ghosts need tweaking and it seems harder to distinguish which player is which by default. I personally have played some mods that fare significantly better in this version than the first. The standard 4 mods do NOT highlight the game's strengths albeit they show improved weapon and modding mechanics. I have played since forever and am a big fan so far. Perhaps fixing some minor—but effectively significant—issues will make the game feel less clunky. The game needs improved graphical configurability for sure. A personal gripe I have is with the unavoidable Kiai sound in the beginning—its pretty irritating LOL. This game could be absolutely great. A great vanilla-friendly mod that I recommend that could capture the charm of the game is is x_judo.

So devs please continue to improve this game.
