I don't think it's possible to make anything as joyous, soulful or whimsical than de Blob. It's cheeky nature, cool vibes and plethora of funky, jazzy and bossa nova inspired tunes alongside a relatively simple, but effective n' engagingly creatively driven gameplay loop, all piled on top of it's ever endearing art style and charm. Standout amongst it's home platform (the Wii), and a relatively hidden gem amongst current generation.

I relate to Orbo on a spiritual level.

Lovely Planet lives up to it's name-sake as it's downright impossible to not find charming. It's cute aesthetic coupled with it's upbeat tracks pushes you to try and try again in an initially daunting, but satisfying to overcome set of challenges -- Initially just rushing for best times I struggled to get a feel for it and fully enjoy it but once I went after the 'ace' stars (100% accuracy) is when this game clicks. At first spamming your main weapon is likely but the key to this games' feel is acclimating to the trajectory of the bullets you spread and one-tapping your foes. Like any good speed run game it incentivizes that 'just one more try' type mindset with it's aforementioned charm cushioning your repeated failures, making it always easy to jump back in.
