Real shame they couldn't have left it up, was actually quite fun.

Reminder that this is a remaster of the original Stronghold, and not Stronghold Crusader - there is no AI skirmishes in this game, be it singleplayer or multiplayer, this was never in Stronghold, only in the later titles. Otherwise, as a remaster this one is quite excellent, the game plays exactly the same with even the old exploits still working, only obvious bugs were fixed and there's new maps and campaigns even, with more coming later, both paid and free.. Here's to hope they will make a DE for Crusader aswell, which if this will do well in sales, they will go for it.

last update pushed back to 2020 sadly but it's still good
console/mobile versions also exist, however outdated, current gen consoles will get updates to 1.4 apparently, but good luck with phones/old gen consoles
