I really wanted to like this game but after playing through the first half of the game I realized it's not gonna get any better. The game as a whole doesn't even get close to what Doom 2016 and Eternal are. The only thing they did well is the Shield and the Doomslayers Armor Design.

Some things to point out:

-Less Violence (Glory Kills are entirely gone. All the Doomslayer does now is punch or kick the demons and they just explode into pieces... No cool animations or anything.)

-No Mick Gordon, No Good Soundtrack(For real, I haven't heard a Soundtrack more forgettable than this one in while)

-Boring and incredibly useless new weapons (The guy who thought the Flayer is a good Idea for a gun in a Doom game should be flayed :( )

-The Doomslayer went from a badass and violent Warrior to a robot who's forced to follow the Story which they're trying so hard to sell you as this great Prequel to the Doomslayers Story.

-The Parry mechanic is fun at first but gets boring real fast. They also just rely on it way too much throughout the whole game.

-No Multiplayer mode (After Eternals ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MP mode they just gave up on it rather than doing something like they did in Doom 2016. Just make that without too many weird quirks and we're golden.)

-It's 2025 and these guys still thought it's a good Idea to put Turret Sequences in a game... Don't even get me started on the Titan and Dragon Levels. These guys were either smoking some real crazy stuff or it's just Corporate who's taking over with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ideas of ''GOOD GAME DESIGN''

-The Enemy Designs are boring and all just rely on you parrying some form of projcetile or melee hit and then go in for a melee combo. No fun mechanics like shooting a grenade into a cacodemons mouth to instantly glory kill em.

Buy the game when its on sale if you really want to play it. Don't bother throwing this much money away for this.

Stays true to the OG with small changes made here and there that only elevate the experience. 10/10 Now give me Dead Space 2 Remake !

10/10 would shoot again
