Game is fun.

Either you hate yourself and relish the challenge or you like watching your little pixel dudes prosper, grow and eventually flee to the stars, or godhood, or not.

Game is versatile.

You can do a large variety of different stuff. Want magic? you can. Want zombies? you can. Want all medieval all the time? you can.
The modding community has so much power and devotion I'm quite certain you could get the game to have no original UI, mechanics, graphics or content not overhauled by a mod.
Hell there's even a multiplayer mod. Is it completely stable? no. But this is a single player game and its a sign of the amazing value of modding potential RimWorld has.

The games quite pricey.

While the replayability is amazing, in fact you never really do the same thing twice, some may struggle to get their value out of it. Not because the game isn't great but because the $44 pricetag is a hell of a hurdle especially when other fun can be found for free. That being said, it has been beyond worth it for me and if you enjoy the base game the two DLCs, especially the new ideology expansion, are worth the investment. (despite their fee)
