The game rubberbands and you wait a long time to get spawns like skeletons. That said, I played UO for years, so I was fine with that. What I'm not fine with is being unable to log in for 48 hours and the game saying I was away too long, so it released my plot of land to someone else. Not cool.

Rimworld is one of my top 10 ride or die games. It's whatever I want it to be, depending on the mods. It can be super chill or really intense. The longer you wait to buy this game, the more you're missing out!

LoA brings back fond Ultima Online memories. I can't wait to be involved in community activities, but for now, I'm just chillin gathering and crafting. It's obviously still early access, but I think they've done a good job so far.

I've been following this game since it was Kickstarted. I would look it up every few months to see if I felt it was ready enough to play. About 2 months ago, I saw a developer stream on facebook and thought, "This is it!"

I haven't regretted my purchase since. I'd been looking for the ultimate social crafting game, and this definitely scratched the itch. What makes it even more awesome is that it has survival and environmental aspects to it. For example, you need to build decorations in your house and keep your nutrition balanced in order to get the most skill points every day. The ultimate goal is to stop the meteor in an environmentally-friendly way through tech advancement, but how you go about that is up to you.

The game is very mod friendly, so server admins can combat some of the early access quirks of the game. I found a great community on the Mediocre at Best server, where the admin has been testing the game for 2 years and is really attentive. There's only a limited amount of skills you can take, because the point rampup gets steeper the more you take. You'll need to work with your new community to accomplish things together, as you may be the only mason and someone else may be the carpenter.

tl;dr It's a fun game. I could write more, but I want to get back to playing it!

I'm a huge fan of the Positech-published strategy games that have come out in the last couple of years. During the Steam Summer Sale, I purchased Democracy 3, which was a little too accurate and frustrating when it came to political simulators. Every path I took seemed to end in death.

I am happy to report that this is a much more cheerful political simulator. Croccy may be a cutie, but don't be fooled by his appearance. He will bribe, scandalize, and steal away your voters to make sure that you don't win. Of course, my chosen candidate, Panda, could have done the same, but I guess I'm just one of the few honest politicians left. :P

If I had to complain about one thing, it's that I haven't figured out how to make the reporter point out any of my opponent's scandals, but that's probably user error. Otherwise, there are multiple ways to win over votes for multiple playstyles. I just wish it were multiplayer so that I could play it with friends!
