One of, if not the best, games I have ever played. Got into the tabletop system of Pathfinder First Edition not long before/after this game was released. I had played their previous iteration, Kingmaker and quit because I kept losing due to not understanding how to succeed. After playing with some tabletop sessions, I returned to Kingmaker and loved it, then I played Wrath of the Righteous and loved it just as much. Don't be like the previous me and be too stubborn to look things up if you don't get them, it will make you appreciate everything this game does and likely elevate it as one of your top CRPGs. (Also please make more Pathfinder 1st Edition games Owlcat, there's gotta be some way to still make another even with any OGL fiasco I beg you.)

Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ banger of a game. I implore all who see this to at least give it a try, even if battle royales are not to your taste. Getting a friend or two to engage in the duo or squad modes to ease the barrier to entry as is present with any MOBA will make your first match infinitely better than if you do solo (unless you already understand moba mechanics which solo might be your best first experience to then introduce friends to the game with your knowledge of how it plays). The more the merrier though, and I promise you'll have at least some fun even if you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off trying to get the hang of the crafting system and the RNG based loot spread across the map.

Edit (4/3/2021): The ranked system at the moment is garbage however and should not have been released with rewards tied to it due to its instability and low player count in many regions. The main issues with the system stem from the nearly exclusive weight on kills when gaining league points. This system encourages people to simply run around and wait for others to get into fights to steal their kills. The second issue with this system is that placement within a match is virtually meaning less in a BATTLE ROYALE GAME. They state as one of their main concerns regarding this that people will simply "rat" or avoid fighting as long as possible to secure a high placement. This is where they lose any semblance of my trust that they can balance something like this, as this line of logic makes it seem as though they can only weigh placement in the game or kills within the game heavily within this system. There is a balance that can be struck between rewarding LP for placement and kills within a match that doesn't necessarily encourage disappointing or game-ruining playstyles as those mentioned above, and they just should take more time to find it. I wish I could change my review at the current time to a meh. The ranked experience has been extremely disappointing to me over how its being encouraged to be played along with exclusive rewards tied to this broken system.

Pretty good game that somewhat lives up to the hype. As with many flavor of the month games it will inevitably dip in popularity, but I feel people who buy this game will still be able to find fun whenever they randomly decide to play it.

A very fun game diminished by its low playerbase. its a nice take on mobas today, and something that stood out for me when looking for more to play. Try it for a few games, you'll likely have a decent amount of fun. People who aren't fans of MOBAs scouring for something new, probably should steer clear.

Not gonna lie, actually not that bad of a game. Not worth 60$, or giving Pitchford more money though, so do what you will.
