I've played for over 2k hours, and I've stuck with this game through thick and thin. The worst bugs, the most egregious Holiday "events" and general bad game balancing here and there. I tended to go along with the jokes of BHVR not knowing how to code their own game, but it was mostly in jest. I've always thought they know what they're doing, things are hard, and I wanted to see the game continue to succeed with cool licenses and amazing original creations.

Yet, I can't support them anymore. The news of BHVR endorsing NFTs is not only morally reprehensible but it's downright tone-deaf. I'm hoping and PRAYING that this was a very not-thought out thing and it was pushed by some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the office who reached out to an NFT branch and the producers just went "What? Sure yeah whatever sounds okay" without digging into it.

I'm not gonna get into the many reasons why NFTs are scummy, you can go research that rabbit hole by yourselves, but what I will say is that it's the most greed-minded practice since lootboxes. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

No surprise to see former devs and large community members come out to express disapproval of this. It's a crying shame. I've uninstalled Dead by Daylight, and it will never be installed again so long as BHVR push or endorse NFTs. ♥♥♥♥ that.


TL;DR Played a long time but BHVR supporting NFTs is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scummy that I've uninstalled for good.
