Good game overall, even though it has its flaws. However it's nowhere near as bad as haters claim it is, check out Domo3000 (https://www.youtube.com/@Domo3000), he debunks false haters' claims pretty well, especially when it comes to claiming some of those clunky and broken mechanics were fixed in DS3 or even didn't exist in DS1 at all.

STAHP!

Half-Life was a game changer when it came out and this mod makes you recall why. With improved mechanics gameplay is even smoother, graphics look better and are more crisp and you can breeze through the plot with ease. Honestly a very well tailored remaster.

- very good graphics,
- detailed environments,
- low hardware requirements (steady 60 fps with integrated gpu and i3 cpu),
- thought through level design,
- vibes of contra, metal slug, old arcade games, Tarantino action movies and bladerunner,
- good platforming,
- amazing sountrack,
- crisp sfx,
- broad arsenal changing in each act,
- challenging but not overwhelming bossfights reminding me of dark souls (fixed movesets easy to recognize and dodge after a while),
- 5 hitpoints on normal mode and plenty of scattered healing items and checkpoints,
- ability to dodge and take cover,
- 3 slightly different joke-cracking headhunters to choose from,
- funny, not cheap and straightforward humor,
- great gameplay solo, even greater in coop with the ability to resurrect the second player when downed (helps with bosses),
- secrets are not absurdly difficult to find and can contain generous rewards or cool easter eggs (like Bladerunner or Gremlins references)


Overall a very solid game, quite refreshing and not frustratingly hard. Maybe a little short, but that's the price you pay for overwhelming quality and that I prefer over games that on paper have content for 100+ hrs and get boring after 10.

Huntdown is easily a 10/10 material in my book.
