A wonderful work of inspiration and passion. Even though the story is unfinished as of the writing of this comment, what is currently in is an excellent experience. Either solo or with friends, there is so much to do and so many interesting paths to take to accomplish your goals.

I can't recommend it enough, and I do advocate paying full price for this gem. The gaming community should reward such hardworking devs to encourage more games like this.

It's a fantastically immersive survival experience, with beautiful scenery and dangerous wildlife. It's a lot of dying while fiddling around with the various plantlife for curing the many illnesses or infections if you don't bother googling guides or information online, which is how I recommend playing the game.

My only complaints are the crashes during cinematics (which happened during the ending for me as well, causing me to lose the endgame achievement) and the absolutely atrocious mouse tracking for selecting objects in the environment.

Despite this, I feel the game's positives greatly outweigh these two issues!

It's a great game that provides you with many hours of replayability and the ups and downs of a truly unique playthrough each time. Not for the easily frustrated or those who attach themselves to characters easily.

A really excellent game with fantastic imagery. Beaver management is never a genre I thought I'd participate in, but it certainly scratches that itch for a good management sim while being just whimsical enough to break the usual molds for generic resource management.

The addition of drought/wet seasons and water management provide just that little bit of zest.

I mean, honestly, it's a farming rpg (No, it's not a simulator. Cows don't hit puberty in 5 days.) with simple mechanics centered around fulfilling a hierarchy of needs. You get food, check. You fix home, check. You socialize with philosophical hobo neighbor, check. You find lov—you get the picture. It's simple; some might say monotonous. In the end though, that simplicity can help you find honest enjoyment in building a story through your own actions and personal goals.

As a semi-unrelated afterthought this game actually taught me the basics of time management, no joke.
