The question to ask is what makes SOCOM well..SOCOM? One thing I can promise is that the graphics surely didn't make that game into the mega hit it was. It was us..the players...the community. We made that game what it was and honestly I think as a community, we forgot that. While there have been several attempts at a replacement, Task Force is honestly the closest we are going to get to the golden days.

Yes it's still very early in it's life. Yes it doesn't look as pretty as other titles out there but let's not forget that even some of the biggest games on steam didn't look as good at the beginning as they do now. In fact, they looks completely different. So if you focus on what the community can offer itself with this game, then you will see this is the CLOSEST we have gotten to a SOCOM title.

The current player base is driving to provide that experience again and the callouts are just like the golden days. Heck there is even a workshop for those who want to create a map for the community. There's so much potential with this title that honestly, it's worth every cent.
