Love this game. I needed something new to play, and I really had an desire to play Final Fantasy Tactics again, but that's one of the few FF games not yet released on PC. So, I googled "Games Like Final Fantasy Tactics" and this was one of the first hits. The battle gameplay is very similar to FFT, though because of the limited number of classes, it's probably more like Banner Saga. But the overall strategy map is what makes this game interesting and different. The game plays out over 300 years, with 2-5 years elapsing between events. You have to marry your hero characters to make more hero characters, and the skills/genetics of the heroes married reflects in the quality of future generations. You only end up getting 3-4 battles with a hero before they die, so it's an interesting mechanic, and it's been a fun ride so far.

Well, I played it a whole lot. So, there's that.

Banner Saga was good, but too short, and at launch too expensive.

Pros:
Visuals were great
Gameplay was fun
Map gameplay is kind of like a choose your own adventure story
Battle gameplay is like simplified D&D 4e
The game makes you make some hard decisions with unforgiving consequences
Good Soundtrack

Cons:
Virtually no voice acting, so there is a LOT of reading, and for me, it was hard to keep all the characters straight
Short game, maybe 10 hours gameplay
Limited replayability
No coop or multiplayer

Verdict: Play it, but wait for a steam sale of humble bundle
