Beautiful and engaging turn-based tactical RPG. Some depth to the combat system, more than Banner Saga less than a game with Tactics in the title. Wish it was longer. Would play a sequel.

A fanciful tale of a country struggling to deal with the fallout from a highly contagious disease. Lackluster attempts at a quarantine prove ineffectual and the plague is politicized by members of the ruling class seeking regime change. Despite the best efforts of a government official, a scientist, a repentant banker and an illegal immigrant, all is lost.

Arcade baseball title that captures a surprising amount of the nuance of the actual game. Franchise mode is a terrific addition that offers control of a team over time without burdening you with too many decisions. Career stat tracking is sorely missed but is coming in a future patch. Competitive PvP mode has an active playerbase. Creative and helpful playerbase in general. Price point has increased with this iteration but Metalhead is an independent developer that is well worth supporting. They communicate well and respond to feedback without compromising their vision for the game.

I've certainly gotten my money's worth

Early Access Review
A terrific RPG by a dev team that is using Early Access to its fullest potential.

The turn based combat has surprising depth, the stories and characters it generates are interesting and compelling. Highly playable in its current state and getting better with each regular update.

Really looking forward to seeing what people come up with using the built in adventure tools.

Harrim is your "nihilist" college roommate who still sleeps on your living room couch because he failed the reflex save.
My favorite part of the game is where you get to drown that pretentious gnome in a creek. Also, I don't much care for the homeless guy and his sympathy dog. Everybody else is more or less cool in my book. Owlcat is cool. They get it. This rpg is like something your gamer friends made based on rambling discussions about what makes rpgs great and then they gave you this janky thing on your birthday and you were like "I didn't ask for this" but you played it anyway and loved it for its ambitious weirdness and forgave all the rough edges because of the obvious care that went into its creation. Also, it didn't hurt that you could play as a halfling pirate monkquisitor devoted to the god of torture that shot freakin moonbeams from his eyes. One time I made a party where everyone took four levels of druid and wolf pets and summons. Blowing through the front gate of the bandit fort as a giant pack of wolves was a joyous and life affirming experience. Let's see you goons raise the alarm this time. I did a version of this with bards but the sound of five different bard songs going off at once gave me nightmares. Shout out to my main tank Indiana Jaethal the Barbarian.

Shooting virtual rednecks is immensely gratifying

EDIT: Nevermind, can't recommend until Ubisoft fixes their freaking controller support. C'mon guys, this is some pretty basic ♥♥♥♥.

This game cured me of my addiction to Elite: Dangerous, for which I will remain forever grateful.

I'm having a surprisingly good time with this game. There's not a lot of depth here, but the core mechanics and presentation are fresh and interesting. Breed, train and upgrade your heroes for turn based xcom lite battles. Feels polished. Looks like a Double Fine game. Has replay value, well worth the sale price.
