Although I am not normally a fan of RTS games - I like them but am usually terrible at playing them - this one came highly recommend from a friend, so I decided to give it a try... and I'm so glad I did. First off, the visuals are excellent all across the board and the soundtrack is compelling and cinematic. The tutorials are great and explain all the game elements very well in a way that did not leave me feeling confused or intimidated to start playing. Most of all for me, the AI is clever enough that I don't have to be constantly babysitting my various fleets while they are engaged simultaneously in other systems. Finally the game's presentation as a whole is slick, clean, and easy to parse, while the systems are deep and satisfying. This game just might pull me back into the RTS genre as a whole, assuming I can pull myself away from it.
