Incredible cast of voice actors that bring their A-game, great animation, story that will pull on your heart strings, and unforgettable characters. What more could you expect from a Telltale veteran staffed AdHoc game? This would feel right at home streaming as a show. Can't wait for the last two episodes, and here's to another season! It goes without saying that I highly recommend this, especially considering the consumer friendly price point.

A fun and charming game for its humble price. I'm just an old country doctor, Jim.

After spending a few hours on the game, I can say that it is a lot of fun. It's graphics are beautiful, the mood is tense, and the environment does a great job of making you feel like you're actually on a humongous derelict ship. You can hear old metal groaning, distant machinery humming, the pipes around you chugging and hissing away. Every once in a while you can hear the faint chitter of the tyranid, making you constantly wonder where the next attack is going to come from in an uneasy paranoia. When the attacks finally do come, it's a desperate, frantic fight for survival as the Tyranid do what they do best, throw superior numbers at you, forcing you into a tactical retreat, your team desperately hacking doors behind you to block them in a vain effort to stem the tide of enemies while you maneuver into a chokepoint, and just when you think you've got a good defensible position set up, Genestealers flank you, shattering your illusions of safety. The situation can take an even more dire turn on the rare occasion someone's weapon jams during one of these fights for survival.

That's not to say the game is without it's flaws, however. For the most part, the UI is really great. The radar, your health status indicator and minimap work alright. Watching your radar is important, as the only way you know a genestealer is nearby, trying to invisibly teleport into the middle of your group to cause a chaotic panic, is when your radar starts fizzling, being disrupted by the genestealer's ability. Unfortunately, while opening the map tells you your objective, where that actually is isn't always displayed, especially if you're too far away from it. This can lead to some wandering around until the icon appears, wasting time, and drawing out what are already some pretty lengthy missions. The game does have a handful of bugs, as well. Not too many, but enough to be noticable. These issues can easily be patched though, and hopefully they will do so.

There are several classes to choose from. The Assault class is a melee specialist, getting up close and personal with the Tyranid and fighting fire with fire. The Heavy Weapons Specialist wields a chain bolter, unleashing a hail of bullets into masses of enemies, he can invoke the machine spirit to remotely hack turrets, either turning them to your cause or destroying them outright. The Librarian can use powerful Psyker abilities to help thin the horde, the Apothacary can heal wounded fireteam members, a vital ability that is almost necessary to ensure victory, and the Tactical class is the marksman of the group, also able to revive fallen allies. All classes can level up throughout the missions, unlocking abilities as they do. Unfortunately in multiplayer, the level resets every mission, kind of similar to the way MOBA heroes work.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this game. I don't understand what the big fuss is about with a lot of these negative reviews. Maybe they're from an earlier version of the game as it is almost a month old now, and I did notice they just released a hot patch. But while there are a few kinks to work out, that in no way detracts from the gameplay experience to the point where it's not enjoyable. Especially if you have some friends to play with. I thoroughly enjoy this game, and for $40, 2/3 the price of normal games, I think that's a good deal. I'd spend half that watching some crappy reboot or remake or comic book movie at the theater.

The game is unplayable. As soon as the screen fades in after loading my character is falling through the map to his death. It never changes, despite reloading the game, trying single player, different characters, private games, horde mode. No matter what I do, as soon as the game starts my character is falling through the map to his death. Fix your game Rebellion because it's utter trash.

After playing through the story mode and leveling my first hero up, I figured I'd post a review. I thoroughly enjoy this game. It's made by the original creators of Diablo and Diablo II so it has that feel to it, which works surprisingly well in the Marvel universe. Although a lot of the content can be paid for to unlock, you can also earn 90% of it in-game, without having to spend a dime. It's pretty well balanced, so that it doesn't take a ridiculously long time to earn something. You don't feel like your hand is being twisted to buy things with real money, which is a breath of fresh air in games like this.

The graphics are above average, if you don't have a decent PC it will struggle a little bit. The gameplay is pretty much identical to Diablo and similar action RPG games. There's a lot to this game I could spend hours talking about, but overall I would definitely recommend it. After all it's free.
