Crashing into the battle royale genre at the perfect time, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is an instant party treat that is a joy to play on your own or with friends, making for some addictive fun whether you win or lose. How it will retain interest after many of the same rounds is yet to be seen, but I am certain that, with continued support from Mediatonic, the game will shine as bright as its art style for years to come

Summer Pockets reads like poetry. The story filled me with summer vacation nostalgia as I spent more time on the island. Each of the routes is memorable and unique, which is a testament to the excellent character writing.

Summer Pockets ended up being the visual novel that I didn’t know I needed right now. The game can take anywhere from 30 – 40 hours to complete, but along the way, you’re in for some excellent moments of narrative storytelling. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy if you’re sappy on love stories. You’ll need them.

Score:
9/10

I would personally recommend Making Lovers to visual novel fans who enjoy games with less focus on story, but more on characters and relationships. All of the characters are likable, all of the routes are interesting and production values are high all around.

With its solid gameplay mechanics, excellent world-building and character development, The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel III is an excellent Japanese role-playing and a more than worthy new entry in the long-running series. Some small flaws like slow pacing do not impact the experience as much as the lack of knowledge about the entire series do, which lessens the impact of several events and plot development. This makes Trails of Cold Steel III a game that must be played only after the previous two entries in the series have been completed.

Overall, this VN is one of the best Yuzusoft games I’ve played . It definitely beats out Sabbat of the Witch, both in terms of raw quality overall and in terms of the design of the setting in particular. While the game itself doesn’t escape a lot of the clichés of the fantasy charage with story sub-genre, it carries them out well enough that I didn’t find that irritating.

If you've played Trails in the Sky First Chapter, there's a good chance you're already waist-deep in SC, and so my review isn't going to sway you one way or another. For those who haven't yet taken the plunge, I cannot stress enough that SC is a direct sequel that takes place immediately following the ending of the first game, so I recommend beating FC first. The narrative buildup established in FC is essential to understanding many important plot points in the second game. And what a plot it is! Robustly realized and populated by an endless stream of compelling characters, Trails in the Sky approaches the pinnacle of traditional JRPG design. With Trails of Cold Steel and its sequel on the horizon, now is the perfect time to jump in.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first in what promises to be a strong, entertaining trilogy. Although this first chapter is not the most original ever made, like any good JRPG it offers amusing writing, dynamic combat, interesting tasks, an absorbing narrative, and hours upon hours of gameplay. And while the game's 50/50 balance between combat and story may not be to everyone's taste, its charm and overall entertainment value make it well worth the investment.

Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue is a story about friendship and recovering from the past. The characters in this story rely heavily on their friends, but only to highlight their strengths. Asuka might be airheaded and clumsy, but she is also fearless with any obstacle that comes her way. Each character feeds off of her courage and then offers their strengths to the group.

Sadly, the romance in the game doesn’t stick and feels a little out of place, but that doesn’t shadow the game’s greatness. There are multiple endings and some excellent moments of storytelling within its 30 hours of gameplay. Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue does a lot right with its presentation and story that I quickly found myself immersed. The story wasn’t something that I thought I’d attached to at first, but after the opening act, I was hooked and cheering these characters on until the very end!

10/10

I’m having a good time in ARK. The problem is that those moments are usually one part to every nine parts menial grinding and crafting

Monster Hunter: World is a third-person action game about dominating the food chain and looking good doing it. It's renowned for its endgame grind, where you go on ever more complex and challenging hunts across diverse, tangled open worlds in search of rare items needed to craft an armor set that’ll no doubt crown you the min-max champion of the world.
