For some reason I think they nerfed Marauder.

What are you talking about? The marauders were genuinely way easier to deal with than some of the new demons in most occasions, even the buffed one. I never died once to a marauder in this expansion, but between the spirit and blood maykrs they turned this three-map deal into a six hour deathfest for me.

Equip the Ballista and Super Shotgun (so you can then toggle between them with Q quickly).

When its eyes flash green, shoot it with the Ballista to stagger it, then swap to Super Shotgun, blast him, and swap back to Ballista and blast him again (after this his guard will be back up).

Quick swapping bypasses the post-fire animations allowing you to melt these suckers quickly with this strat. ;)
