I'd love to write a review but I've spent 30 mins staring at a login screen. It's 10pm. Why am I queuing for 30 minutes at 10pm, 10 days after a game has launched? Beyond me. Restart the game? Greeted by a permanent black screen. I get the game blew up and they didn't plan for this; but this game is £35, £50 if you got the Deluxe. That amount of money surely should warrant being able to access the purchased product...

This CoD is very different. It is trying to be Battlefield alongside CoD. Because it's doing this, on most of the maps on this Open Beta, it simply just turns into a "who can camp the most" fight with snipers and LMGs taking over the meta for maps that are over 2 square feet in distance. (Exacerbating the problem of course)

Realistically, if you play the War mode do not expect a CoD experience. If you play Domination expect someone mounted on a wall with a sniper from their spawn watching their flag and every other flag. If you want to play TDM expect a mix of rusher and camper gameplay with the middle of the map swarmed with people prone behind a counter with an SMG.

But hey, you can dolphin dive.

Personally, I like the feel of the guns in the game as they feel [somewhat] realistic compared to previous games such as Cold War where an SMG was just a laser across the map (Yes I'm talking about you AK74-U users on Nuketown).

The Maps themselves are well made (excluding some shader issues when going from a light to dark area).

It's made me want to play battlefield but because of the state of BF2042 I choose to continue playing MW2. Quite decent.

I used to play Marvel Hero's Omega and I was really bummed out when that game closed down. This feels perfectly similar and I am finally at peace after 6 years of searching. I can't lie, it is definitely a pay to win game, but it's free to play so what would someone expect? So far I've experienced nothing but positive vibes from the game and I'm looking forward to continue playing. (Just killed some random salt giant boss which was fun).

It's fun, but you can't really sit for hours and play it as it does get quite tedious running from end to end of the already, similar map as before. Hopefully it gets better from hereon out. I've only fallen out of the map so far twice, but hey, its a new game, much better than anything else released in the past few months.

It's a decent game which was worth the £30. Blasted through the campaign and all was well.
