1hr review: This is Gigantic X revamped to be more rogue-like. Base difficulty is just like Gigantic X's (skill-based). So far, so good.

Edit (9hr review): Unlike Gigantic X, the desire to continue playing this game after beating the second galaxy dies very fast (3rd planet is all bosses and you get very little currency, so they're essentially bullet sponge hells). GX was much more rpg-like than Anvil (in its current state). Hopefully there's much more content when game actually releases. Tepidly recommending game atm.

Edit (8/14/24): abandoned game.

Fighting big monsters feels like fighting dark souls bosses.

Not optimized well for pc even if you have a banging pc (literally impossible to get decent fps with volumetric lighting on for example - why even have this option if 99% of the players turn it off, and I do yet have a 1080 and 3770k).

Cutscenes are long and unskippable for some reason, hopefully this will be fixed soon.

No raw mouse input so it feels like you have mouse acceleration on.

Definitely plays like a console port... but it's still monster hunter.

Combat-wise, there is no competition. Dragon Nest is truly one of a kind. No other action mmo can hold a candle to DN and anywhere else you look feels like a step down. DN excels with its fluid movement, hundreds of unique skills, iframes, super-armor and third person, NON-TAB-TARGETTING style.

I've been playing this game for 2 years +, and 200 hrs shown here was just during a certain two months when I was playing on steam. One of the few mmo that I can always go back to as it is updated with new content/events monthy!

Fun on your own... although really difficult. This game is so much better with another friend. It is as if it was designed to be 2 player only since most the maps require you to be at two places at once.
