This game is a lot of fun. You can play super casual and not really care about getting better and its fun, and you can play competetively and care about getting better and its fun most of the time. You can play 1v1 (good for improving individual skill and getting super tilted when you lose a lot), 2v2 (good for learning rotations and team skills), 3v3 (good for the same reasons as 2v2, but rotations are a little different), and 4v4 which quite frankly is a cluster♥♥♥♥ and really good for nothing except dumb fun. You can create private games with a bunch of your friends and customize them to your delight, and you can also play standard games online with complete strangers who, depending on the mood theyre in, can be really nice, or complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when you miss a difficult save. Rocket League is also in esports, so its fun to see pros who are really good play and then model your playstyle off of theirs.

So why do I like this game? Like any game, Rocket League is the same thing over and over again, but it doesn't really get boring. To me, its one of the only esports that feels like a real sport. And maybe that's because its modeled after soccer (or football for you non-americans). There are real tactics and strategies which are constantly being improved upon and updates, even though the game is the same. Its more than just hitting a ball around a field much the same as soccer is more than just kicking a ball around a field and you can only discover these nuances as you get better.

So why don't I like this game? Not a whole lot of reasons, but there are still some. For one, the competetive community can be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ salty sometimes. Like Overwatch levels of salt and thats really annoying and frustrating to play through. Another thing thats really dumb is there are NO MIDWEST SERVERS! Psyonix really needs to fix this. I live in Iowa so I play mostly on east coast servers, but I have friends who live both Eastern Canada, and California. That means in my party, I'll get like 40ping, my Canadian friend will get 20, and my California friend will consistently get 70/80. Midwest servers would solve this problem and its a problem I can't imagine only I have. Also the most recent update is kinda buggy, but psyonix usually does a good job of releasing things bug free. They're certainly no DICE.

Overall: 8.5/10
